Whilst Nick is away enjoying the portugese sunshine and sitting next to the pool with a nice glass of wine, us girls are in the office chugging away hard at work, i do hope Nick doesnt get too burnt! (and obviously get us girls many gifts) dont think i can say much for the English weather though, floods all over the place! stopping traffic and causing issues left right and centre.

I did pass people yesturday standing at a bus stop with water up to their knees! i shouldnt laugh but it was entertaining at the time, it’s strange how we still have a hose pipe ban as it seems we have too much water! The papers headline today was “A month’s rainfall in only 12 hours” with a picture of a bus which looks like it has driven through a river, it shocked me as this bus did have passangers on board, must have been such a fright, hopefully the weather will improve and brighten up the place, the bad weather seems to be effecting many people recently, i am currently experiencing a bad cold and Ella is feeling under the weather.

On another note, twitter seems to be picking up, not quite sure what to tweet about on a daily basis but im sure i will get the hang of it, also our Summer Infant Sleek and Secure Baby Monitors are this weeks best seller, (hurry whilst stock lasts though! they are flying out of the warehouse)

Bank Holiday Monday coming up, time to enjoy a long weekend with the family, enjoying our British weather… (then again maybe not)

The team are going out for a Mexican tonight, as it is our lovely Warehouse Managers birthday! time flies by so fast!

A little something about the Samsung SEW3030 Video Baby Monitor, i must explain how annoyed i got when the trigger alert would not stop vibrating! after many confused moments and angry thoughts i found that all you need to do is turn the sensitivity down on the camera! and taadaa it stops, just like that. Silly manual does not explain that very well, other than this i do like this monitor’s picture quality and sneaky two way talk-back, but we have soon got to say good bye to the SEW3030 and hello to the snazzy new arrivals from Samsung as it is out with the old and in with the new!

Samsung Range at MonitorMyBaby

Myself, Bel and Ella are feeling the cold today! also have jobs list as long are arms! but you must never let anything get you down! even if the sun still refuses to shine.

I would probably say the same about Nick but he has been hiding in his office most of the day!

It is soon to be Bel’s birthday! Ella got back from a day off on Monday and i am currently working up the miles on my scooter riding to work each day im only on 3000!

On another not so serious note i am desperately trying to work out how to use Twitter and i have no idea what to write about! – also i have uploaded our logo wrong and have no idea how to change it!! help would be appreciated! @monitormybaby :)

Hello! I am Kim, as Nick has already explained i am the ex-baby of the Monitor My Baby team! recently i have been creating some bundle deals for customers to help them along deciding what monitor is right for them, but i havent set them live yet!! so look out for them… If you have any prefferences on monitors which you like to see together let me know!

Also i have been looking at the new and exclusive Luvion Platinum 2 and love the Quad Function which allows you to connect up to 4 cameras at any one time and you can see all of them at the same time! it’s amazing.

Please feel free to leave comments as i would love some pointers!

(and i am currentl struggling to save this post!)

Tuesday lunchtime and all is well – or sort of.

Kim, the ex-baby of the office until Ella came along is now wizzing around everywhere on her bike. I’m not sure how it’s classified, as either a moped or motorbike, but all I know is it makes me feel old when I tell her to take it easy and suggest that maybe she should get a car because it’s safer. I’m not sure when I became my parents, but apparently it’s a gradual change which effects us all.

A major crisis was averted yesterday after Annabel announced her glasses had gone missing over the weekend, and a well known national optician / chemist had told her it would be 10 days until she could get another pair. I am not sure how well the helpful advice was greeted, which included “pretend you are a celebrity and wear your prescription sunglasses indoors”, “maybe one of your boys took them into school for show and tell?”. Either way, she didn’t look impressed, but they turned up this morning as apparently “the dog had hidden them”.

Ella learnt what happens when you put fuel in your car and forget your purse. I don’t know whether its lovely to hear the innocence of youth, but when she told them “I’ll rush home get my purse and come back to pay it” they told her “thats okay, we will pay it on your behalf to reset the pump for the next person.” Before they could let her know the “you have 7 days to pay” she jumped in with “You are going to pay it for me, thanks” – I am not too sure they were impressed when they realised that she actually thought they were offering to pay for her fuel. Anyway, her promotion to public enemy #1 was avoided, she went back 20 minutes later and paid for it.

From a business perspective, all is well. Luvion monitors are still selling as quickly as we can get them into stock. The new Samsung monitors should be with us in the not too distant future and we are going to be appraising a new audio monitor which apparently has a range greater than any other audio monitor we’ve seen before. Exciting times ahead………

Its always difficult thinking what to write when presented with a blank screen and an instruction of “start blogging”.  Obviously its very easy to show promotions, offers and deals, but that is the purpose of our website, www.monitormybaby.co.uk , but this is our blog.

So, how are we going to be different here?  How about if we begin with the basics.  There are 4 of us who work in the office and over the next however many blog entries we write, you’ll get to know a little more about us.

As we are a baby website, it’s probably as good a time as any to mention that the baby of our office, Ella, today passed her driving test.  She’s only 17, hence she’s the baby, but she does learn very quickly.  I am sure she will be overly excited tomorrow when she comes in, but I can remember passing my test and how much it meant, so we’ll all have to share her joy and hope her bouncing off the walls finishes this side of Christmas.

This is as much as I’m going to write on post number 1, but as long as I don’t forget, there will be more about the other members of the team on posts in the future.
