What is the difference between analogue and digital baby monitors?
Analogue baby monitors often suffer from interference from other analogue devices in the home and surrounding homes resulting in variable sound quality. Digital Baby Monitors often have more channels and offer a clearer sound. Some of the higher-end digital monitors automatically select a channel (normally from a choice of 120!) to guarantee interference free monitoring. Are you also concerned about digital baby monitor safety ?
What is the range of the Audio\Visual Monitors?
The audio\visual monitors are normally quoted as having a 100m unobstructed range with an indoor (obstructed) range of 30m.
In practice the picture quality indoors will depend on your house layout. If your house has normal partition (or stud) walls then the range will be around the quoted 30m. However, if you live in an old house with solid internal walls the range will be reduced – especially if the signal has to pass through several walls. This will not apply when you are directly below or above a nursery as the signal only has to pass through a wooden floor (or floors) and should therefore be perfect.
For this reason we always advise that you be careful with the packaging when testing the monitor. This way if it is not suitable for your home environment we can offer you a full refund.
Are the Audio\visual monitors easy to setup?
The audio visual monitors are very easy to setup. In practice it is much like a normal baby monitor. Position the nursery unit (the camera), power on, select a channel, power parent unit, select same channel – and away you go!
What warranties do you offer?
All baby monitors come with a years warranty in case of malfunction. Some even come with 2 years warranty. Please see our terms and conditions for more details.
